University of Florida researcher Sumita Bhaduri-McIntosh, M.D., Ph.D., and her graduate student, Eric M. Burton, have discovered how the common, cancer-causing Epstein-Barr virus uses proteins to emerge from a dormant state and begin replicating.
Work alongside a distinguished group of researchers in Gene Expression, RNA Processing, DNA replication, Genomics, Gene Therapy, Molecular Basis of Disease, and the Mechanisms of Viral and Bacterial Pathogenesis. MGM plays a central role in several interdisciplinary research programs in the HSC.
