The University of Florida’s Training Programs in Regenerative Medicine and Basic Microbiology and Infectious Disease leverage the interdisciplinary nature of the University’s Health Science Center in its effort to develop trainees’ ability to translate regenerative medicine applications from the bench to the clinic.

The Basic Microbiology and Infectious Disease (BMID) Training Program at the University of Florida supports six predoctoral Fellows with the aim of producing independent investigators capable of sustaining productive research programs studying the molecular mechanisms of infectious disease.

The University of Florida’s Training Program in Regenerative Medicine is an NIH-funded, University-supported endeavor to train Ph.D. students and Postdoctoral Fellows in the mechanisms and potential of applying stem cell biology to the treatment of human disease.
